No navigation?

All BMW's with Navigation Professional (option SA609) are capable of DVD Video playback. But it's not important for the video unlocking whether the car has a navigation option. Unlocking the video picture in motion is certainly possible if in the current state you can play a DVD in a parked vehicle.
